Delicious and local in the heart of Marstal

Two young girls, from Copenhagen and Norway respectively, share a passion for food, coffee, delicious wine, and high-quality ingredients. Their desire to bring life and good vibes to the city all year round led them to open Marstang Café. We worked with them to create branding for the cafe and wine bar.

Logo & Branding

Marstang is renowned for its delicious bread bowls, which have become the restaurant's signature dish. To capture the essence of this beloved menu item, we set out to design an abstract sourdough logo for the brand. Drawing inspiration from Marstang's unique atmosphere, we aimed to create a playful and retro design, incorporating groovy elements and warm tones. Our goal was to create a logo that not only represents the restaurant's delicious cuisine but also reflects its fun and welcoming vibe.

Mad & Vin by Marstang

They opened Marstang Café with a desire to create a place where people could gather all year round. Barely a year later, they established Mad & Vin, which offers an experience created with local ingredients in season, whether you want a pleasant evening with good wine or a taste of the best local cuisine. To maintain the initial aesthetic but in a more formal, elevated format, we extended Marstang's design and created a logo and style guide for the wine bar.
